Hi Chris,
Thanks for your email. As a starting point I would recommend using the Super macro mode on your camera. This will allow you to get in really close to your subject. Keep the ISO as low as possible to capture the maximum detail. Also if you can get your camera set up ideally on a tripod or just on a stable surface you can think more about the composition and adjust the settings.
Lighting is key with macro photos. I wouldn't recommend using the on camera flash for macro's as this can make your photo look flat (sometimes it does work though). You could use a small torch with kitchen paper over the end to diffuse the light. Then just move the light around the subject to see which works best. You can get some really cool photos using this.
I found the best way to learn what works and what doesn't in a macro photo is to just experiment. Take photos of everything and you'll soon find out the types of subjects which work.
If you need inspiration just look though other members galleries. I found this is the best way when I get stuck for ideas. Alternatively you could just google say "macro in nature" and you'll find endless ideas to try out.
For me photo editing software is a must have. By boosting the colour or increasing the sharpness (without it looking unnatural) you can really make your photos stand out. there are many free programmes out there. Google's Picassa is a great one.
This is just a starting point. If you need anything else please don't hesitate to ask.

Hi Chris,
Thanks for your email. I would contact you direct but you havn't activated your contact button.
I'd say Raynox sell the best lenses. The Raynox 250 just clips onto the end of your lens and allows you to get really close. It's what I use for all my macro photos. You should be able to pick one up for around £40.

regarding the macro photography is anyone aware of any adapters for the S3280 so that a macro lens can be attached? has anyone had any experience with specific adapters? Have attched a link below of what i have manged to find although bit concerned with lack of other products out there that will do the same thing as well as the customer reviews!
Any feedback is greatly appreciated!
