At Last - Spring!
Submitted by Marion Wager on Fri, 18/02/2011 - 22:48
Wandering round the garden wondering where to start after this winters` devastation, I became aware that the spring flowers were all trying their best already so I abandoned the trowel in favour of the camera!

Snowdrops on the rockery

A patch of saffron crocus

Purple crocus macro

Saffron crocus macro

Yellow crocus

Elephants ears

Japonica ( chaenomeles)

Winter honeysuckle

Green Hellebore

Pulmonaria ... soldiers & sailors

& some weeds... daisies in the lawn

Speedwell on the veggie patch

Butterbur under the hedge

Even a bit of food!

Hope you liked the tour of the garden

Hi Marion, Thanks so much for sharing your garden. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour - made me a little homesick (I've been in New Zealand 6 years) I could almost smell the spring air !! Thanks Chris

Cameras always beat trowels, Marion. Although I wouldn't recommend using a FinePix to do the weeding with. Great shots, thanks for sharing

Missed this, lovely blog, puts my garden and photo's to shame, I'm also envious of the vaiegated quince and butterburr and the fact living where you do your garden at this stage is where mine is now a month later.
