A Treat for the Visitors
Banchory is a town 20 or so miles west of Aberdeen and a real popular place for locals and visitors (mine) alike. Early June is a great time to watch the Salmon swim/jump, upstream to return to thier spawning grounds. Things happen very quickly on various parts of the falls, so to see the salmon is very special, to photograph... amazing.
The waters are quite low due to the rather dry previous winter. However ther are some benefits to this as you will later see.
Looking down into the Feugh.
One small leap...
Local crow wondering what all the fuss is about.
Not so local Black Headed gull looking on in hope.
My visiting 'Snapper' enjoying benifits of lower waters.
The shot everyone wants.
A view beyond happy visitors down the Feugh.
And finally a view up the Feugh.
