A short walk in the rain

A few photos of my short walk in the mist and rain today, not much narrative I'm afraid, just some soggy leaves and dripping branches.
there's a large mountain behind these trees, but today it was shrouded in mist
I often follow this path up to the waterfall, but the rain was beginning to turn to sleet so I thought I'd be safer staying on lower ground today
the colour of the moss on the trees was so vivid in the rain
some very soggy trees
the stream here was a favourite paddling and picnicking spot when we were young
I tried to get a shot of a bird in a tree, but it was getting dark and the sky was too grey and bland. Hoorah for photo editing!
Not a long walk, around 3 miles, but I enjoyed it despite the weather.

Looks like you made the most of a grey, wet day
we went for a nice soggy walk today as well !!!

Don't you just love getting out and about in the mist and rain
A lovely little blog Lee, and great to see the weather didn't put you off. If it's not too cold I really enjoy walking when it's murky, it changes the atmosphere of the day and can create the most stunning effects.
Well done you for not being a fair weather walker!!

"Walking in the rain" reminds me of an old single in my record case, by Love Unlimited 1972. Great photos and I especially like the photo shop picture!
