Big boys toys
I had no intention of doing a blog at the moment but we went out today and ended up in the coastal town of Brightlingsea. One of the first thigs we came across was a model boat meeting at one of the large lakes,i just had to take some pictures.I am sorry that there isn't a lot of narrative but i know very little about model boats.

This one is a model of an old London barge.

This one and the next are twin sail sailing boats.Someone out there will know the technical name.

This one looks like a tug boat

The owners all stand on the side of the lake with there control boxes.

I think this one is a fishing boat

Of all the boats there this one is my favourite.

This one in full sail was flying along.

Another tug.

Another tug.One more picture to go.

I have only shown a few of the boats that were there. There was at least another 20 boats on the grass by the edge of the lake.If you have looked at this blog i hope you didn't find it boring.

Hi Ron
Just goes to show that photo opportunites are everywhere. OK So you don't know too much about boats but you know how to take some good shots of em. This is a nice set. Thanks for putting it together and posting.
SH 170 was my fave too.
Cheers Ron. By the way, I have posted a link that worked, in the forum post, yours went a bit wrong for some reason.

I love this Ron - a great subject.
One wee suggestion - dont forget the video function on your finepix... a few seconds video kin enhance the whole thing by bringing in movement without detracting from the photos - take a look at one of my efforts

Hi Ron. I enjoyed your photoblog. Brought back memories of my little red sailing yacht I had as a little girl which I had string attached and pulled along the edge of the water. Thanks for sharing.
