week end in wales day 4 the journey home
Sadly after a great 3 days touring round mid to north wales its time to head home so here is a short blog of the last few photos......

Well i couldnt leave wales without one more look at my lake :)

Lake Vyrnwy Nature Reserve and Estate (Welsh: Llyn Efyrnwy, pronounced [ɛˈvərnʊɨ]) is an area of land in Montgomeryshire, Powys, Wales, surrounding the Victorian reservoir of Lake Vyrnwy. Its stone-built dam, built in the 1880s, was the first of its kind in the world. The Nature Reserve and the area around it are jointly managed by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB), and Severn Trent Water. It was built for the purpose of supplying Liverpool and Merseyside with fresh water. It flooded the head of the Vyrnwy Valley and submerged the small village of Llanwddyn. Today it is a popular retreat, for people in the West Midlands and Merseyside for days out, and also for ornithologists, cyclists, and hikers. The Reserve is designated as a National Nature Reserve, a Site of Special Scientific Interest, a Special Protection Area, and a Special Area of Conservation.

every day you get a different vision of this beautiful place, we then heade towards Newtown via unclassified and B roads

passed this ruin on one of the lanes, we then arrived in Newtown and what a lovely place it was to, then to carry on to Church Stretton

we arrived at the top car park of the national trust carding mill valley, if like us your members of the national trust you will no doubt be aware of this beautiful place

the cafe and gift shop where you can get maps or cards for all the different walks which cater to pretty much everyone willing to go on a short hike or something a little longer

the ford in the valley

baa he looks very clean lol

i just thought this looked great with the roots showing to

Well this is the end of your holiday in Wales but it looks like you had a wonderfull time (despite the weather). All your photography and information has made these `Wales` blogs very enjoyable to view and read so a big thankyou for sharing your time spent there, with us. I think this is what blog making is all about, sharing those times and memories with others (and without having to envite everyone round to look at the photo album, like the old days) LOL. I best just say `non holiday type blogs are good also`! Thanks once again for enviting us to share your holiday and also taking the time to record and compile it all. Its all been worth it and a big like from me. Paul.
(My photos may not be the best but they represent a part of my life to share with those who care to look)
