Brand new today!
Submitted by Battgirl on Fri, 23/12/2011 - 22:55
Just got my new camera today as my daughter was unhappy with me borrowing hers!
She got me my own for Christmas!
So just out of the box, I've taken a few shots to play with and get to know the camera. I look forward to learning more about photography and taking great shots.
Here are some starting photos, to act as a baseline for future comparrisons. - These photos have not been editted in any way.
Please feel free to provide feedback!

Thanks for your comments, sorry if I've faux pauxed.....
I guess I'm a little confused then as to what photo blogging is... I assumed talking about my photos was photo blogging. I am still learning this site, and will rectify it as I figure it out.
Edit: After comparing this blog to one of your own, http://www.myfinepix.com/blog/1248/303230 I fail to see the difference.... my post has both photos and narrative...... It even discusses what settings each photo was taken with. Please clarify your previous comments as I am even more confused by it now.

Hello Shari
Firstly, a warm welcome to the site. These are 3 fine shots from your new camera, already you seem to be getting to grips with the finer settings of the camera. Perhaps you would like to put all of these in your gallery. At the same time, we would love to hear your thoughts on that camera. So if you would be so kind, take some more with different settings and add them to this photoblog with your own thoughts about the quality and whether you are impressed with each mode. We love to hear views from all the different Fuji cameras. Don't forget, if there is something you would like improving with any particular model, put that in too. The guys at Fuji HQ do read these photoblogs and they do listen.
So the ball is in your court now. Put some more in and let us know your own impressions of the camera and the results.
Happy Christmas to you and all the very best for the coming New Year.
Steve

Thank you so much Steve! Your comments have explained photoblogging alot more than previous comments have. I will certianly add more to this as I learn more about the camera.
So far, my favorite feature that I have found is the Panorama. It is very simple to use, simply change the dial to panorama and start. You only have to push the shutter once, as there is a guide on the display that takes the subsequent photos automatically once lined up. Another part of this I liked is that there is no extra editing required to merge the photos, it is done as the image is stored. Couldn't be easier!
Thanks again Steve, Merry Christmas and happy new year to you and yours.
(going to figure out galleries now ;-)

What i should have said is to make your blog longer as their is a lot of members on here who take a long time doing blogs and then it disaapers from the home site and they get miffed that is why mine is differnt to yours if you had a look at my first blog i learnt very fast that more photos and words some time story like goes a long way to people viewing it and liking it
