filter fitment on X100S

Problem is the camera warns the user to shut off and turn back on.

This occurred to me during my learning curve.

Turns out the problem is mechanical: the Hoya HMC 49mm UV filter i purchased for the camera impedes the lens travel during focusing under conditions where the lens needs to extend out at its maximum.

Lacking is a warning in the manual that identifies this as a potential problem. Fuji should in my opinion build the screw rings so that allows filters to be screwed on.

Taking photos through glass

Hi - I've done a search on this topic but didn't get the answer I was looking for viz. If I shoot through glass, will my HD2750 focus be on the glass or if it's too close, will macro factors come into play, or whatever the distance of the glass, will the focus be on infinity? I've achieved fair results taking aircraft wings through the windows but just wondered if there is a definitive answer to the topic? I do appreciate the relevance of aperture to depth of field etc! Thanks

Auto focus in macro and super macro mode

I have problem with auto focus in macro and super macro mode. Does anybody know what I can do wrong or maybe this is the problem with the camera. I have x10 refurbished.

Focus on Imaging show is no more?

Saw the sad (for me at any rate) news that this years Focus on Imaging show was the last Sad

Hopefully Fuji and other manufactures can get together to provide an alternative where people can gather to sample their products and meet "n" greet like minded pictophiles (made up word).

R.I.P. Focus on Imaging!

New with the S4200

First off, Hello Everyone, I'm new to the site and to using this type of camera.  I do indoor outdoor work and outdoor I do over all well with with lighting focus and so on.  I really am looking for someone to help out with my indoor photography.  I cant get the right look its either to grainy, blurs, or something else totally unwanted.  I have plenty of natural light its just I cant find a shooting mode to use.  I'm usually doing photography of my daughter who moves a good and I need something with no flash because I prefer the bright natural look.
