P.S. have decided not to use the star rating system, it doesn't do anyone any justice. Makes people big

A beautiful shot with excellent detail, it really depicts the discovery theme excellently

A very clear shot, I love the selective desaturated effect. The textures really show up well in larger view. Warning if you stare at it in large view you can feel yourself being hypnotized. If this happens please send all you money and valuables to this address............! Best of luck.

This shot is so much better than the rest of your gallery, Caroline.
With an eye like this, don't waste your time with macros of flowers and bugs. (As you may have gathered, they do nothing for me, but each to his or her own.)
I'm a firm believer that there's a whole world of far more interesting stuff out there, so go and capture it.
Well done and best of luck in the comp.

Great idea, beautifully executed! Don't be surprised, you deserve your 4's and 5's. Well done! (I'll give you a five as well, cos I think it's worth four and a half!)

This is an exceptional image! The selective colouring gives it the oomph but the lighting and clear focus are what make it! There is a little dark spot to the top left which can easily be removed, but you have to be picky! Pity about the mascara, I have seen adverts for these amazing brushes and things which might help.

Im normally squeamish about looking at eyes, but not this one. how did you manage to take it without the person blinking?
beautiful

redlassie, she took it by herself with me sat in front of her looking at the camera. And it's hard not to blink whilst looking down the lens of a camera. She can do it better than I can seeing as she has anime eyes ...............
