Caption:
LONG EXP WITH THE SHUTTER OPEN TECHNIQUE, TAKEN WITH A BASIC SOUND/MIC ACTIVATED FLASH NOT CONNECTED TO THE CAMERA IN ANY WAY. SO THIS COULD BE SPEED OF SOUND.... NOT SPEED OF LIGHT. THE LIGHT BULB WAS SHOT WITH AN AIR RIFLE IN A TOTALLY DARK ROOM, THE FLASH UNIT HEARS THE SOUND OF THE AIR RIFLE AND FIRES AT A SET TIME. EVERYTHING BEHIND PLEXIGLASS FOR SAFETY, RIFLE PRE AIMED AND LOCKED ON A VICE.
Camera Model:
FinePix S3Pro
Exposure Details:
Exposure Time : 5 sec
F Number : f/2.8
ISO Speed Rating : 100

Smashing shot Russell. Excellent technique, timing, focus and lighting. Creative thinking outside the light box ~ a very polished presentation and I have a notion the motion displayed will light up the judge's eyes. Well done

All the witty comments have been done as everyone has beaten me to the puns. However, I don't think it is unreasonable to offer yet another 'superb capture' somment to the worthy image. So here we go.
Superb Capture! It is going to take something special to fire this one off of top spot! (Sorry, but I had to get a pun in there somewhere...)

Wow.
Strangely, this idea flashed through my mind earlier, and I dismissed it totally, never expecting anyone to even try it, let alone succeed, so very well done.
To add to the puns, could this be a 'flash in the pan'?

Hail oh mighty wizard !! OMG. Its the shot everyone wants.
I`ve wanted to do this since I was a nipper (high speed camera bullets ,playing card etc)
Sound activated ehh? I could do in the style of William Tell,an apple in mouth, the misses and verbal commands ?? Never was a very good shot though.....
Like the pic a lot.
other snaps (some film! some non-Fuji) for your enjoyment:-
