Hi Julie,

I had the same problem...in my case it was just me, being thick.  Then I found these two posts.  Am going to try them later today, hopefully, but now that I've read them, I know where I went wrong....

I to have been having problems recently of trying to get blogs on. My problem is  having the programe halt when I have got half or more of the photos on, then I loose all the lot. It really is frustrating. It never used to be like this, so I dont know what has gone wrong.  It does put me off trying. The programme is simple enough if only I did not keep getting chucked off with it either stalling or the MAINTENANCE thingy  coming up. I think it is a blip in the system as when the MAintenance thingy comes up I can get straight back into the programme, and start again.  Very frustrating.

It will be interesting to see if anyone out there hase any idea of what is happening, I have seen quite a few of the members bringing this up lateley.  Also The site is slower than it used to be.  Good Luck Pam.

Sheila.

those two links are for the old method of uploading to a blog.

it doesnt work like that now, you simply upload direct to the blog.

Julie - you are doing nothing wrong atall - it is the fuji sytem at fault - happens to alot of us when trying to blog. Best advice i can give is to make sure your pics are resized if they are large before you add to blog

Julie - a good idea is to save the blog after every 3 uploads, then if it does crash you don't lose everything. That is what I have done for the few blogs I have created.

Hi Julie,

this is annoying, isn't it? 2 tipps for the price of one Smile

  • You could install some add-on for your internet browser which will at least bring back all the typing you have done. One example for Firefox is http://lazarus.interclue.com/ there are others..
  • You can save a hel* lot of time if you optimize the photos for upload by reducing their longer side to 535 pixels (or multiples of it, i use 1070 pixels). MyFinePix reduces blog entries to 535 pixels anyhow. So why upload big photos when much of it is discarded by MFP. Most picture viewers do this reduction in a batch process so that it only costs you a minute but saves an hour for the upload. If you don't have a photo viewer which does it try http://www.faststone.org/FSViewerDetail.htm it's free and great
