xp10 stopped working?

camera worked excellent for about 3 days.... then just stopped working. the blue light on the power button comes on but that's all. It wasn't dropped, was only in water about 3 - 4 feet deep.
Getting Tech Support on phone is like pulling teeth. Would like to not have to send it away if possible, camera is less then 2 weeks old.
If it is water (only thing I can think of) will/do I need to send it away for repair?

The camera's waterproof to about 10 feet, so should be OK if all the covers were closed correctly.
Have you tried new batteries?
