How do I download to computer ONLY?

Hello,
I just got the fujifilm camera for Christmas and want to know how do I download the pictures straight to my computer to edit etc and NOT to the net???? It looks like the MyFinePix system only downloads to the net because I cant see them until I open this up and they are not on my computer, PLus it adds all of the thousands of pics I have had on my computer already and I certainly DONT want that!
Please help.

Put your SD card into the computer, and tell it to import your pictures to a certain file. Or if there are pictures you dont want, view the SD card in a seperate folder and copy and paste the pictures you want to a folder on your computer.

Alternatively,
Connect your camera to your PC using the USB cable.
Switch on your camera.
Now close any other program that starts up automatically.
Go to ‘Computer’ or ‘My Computer’ (depending upon operating system)
Double left click your mouse on the drive letter that represents your camera.
You should now be able to view all the picture files on your cameras memory card.
Drag & Drop any or all the files to a suitable folder on your computer.
Close down all open drives and My Computer, then switch off your camera and disconnect the USB lead.
Now go back to the folder where you saved the pictures on your PC and edit them as normal.
Using a USB card reader will speed up this operation and they are cheap to buy.
Do not format the camera memory card while still connected to the PC, only do that by using the camera’s menus.
