Lens Creep X-S1

I bought my X-S1 in July and have already sent it back to Fuji because the long lens had terrible lens creep as well as a remarkable amount of wobble on the long end. In any position other than wide angle the lens would creep rather quckly at that. I check a couple in different camera shps one was thgt and firm the other was like mine only not as bad. I live in Japan and had to deal with the Tokyo headquarters but they failed to answer my questions even though I gave them all the information they asked for. Finally was able to contact a number on the warranty card and get help but as everything was handled on the landline by my Japanese wife with me explaining the problem to her then her to the Fuji warranty man I got no real answers, but they did pick up my camera the next day and sent it to mainland Japan for repair (I live on Okinawa). It's been almost two weeks and I haven't heard a word, and fuji Tokyo will not anser my e-mails to tell me if this is normal or if they have a fix for the problem:(

My experience with Fuji, even when there has been a problem, has been positive. They have undertaken a repair and returned the camera inside a wekk, also it was the only problem I have had from four cameras.  I hope they resolve your problem as efficiently as they did mine.

Lens creep is a known problem with some zoom lenses but can be overcome to  some extent by keeping the camera horizontal or holding the zoom to keep it from shifting once the desired length has been obtained.
