There was a time when galleries were visited a lot....but member numbers have now increased to such an extent (good for Fuji) that to get noticed, you either have to be lucky or take part in one of the forum posts such as the Members Exhibition Gallery in the taking pictures section, the weekly Photo challenge and the like.

Don't get dis-heartened, there are a lot of brilliant shots that never get seen.  Most of mine for instance!!! Lol  Stick at it, become a bit more active in the forums etc.  From time-to-time we have group meets around the country, they are a good way to get involved too.

there are many In House Challenges in the UK - Member's Photo Challenge section of the forum. There a great way to get to know your camera and other members... and since youve said hello, il go and have a nosey at your gallery.

i do not follow Steve's argument. When there are more members posting their photos there are also more members who can give comments. 1% of 100  is the same as  100% from 1.

With more members and photos posted the attention gets a bit more focused on the top photos but luckily we do not all have the same taste.

How to get noticed? Good photos - you got some :)  Show interest in others, comment on their photos, ask questions. Put some of your photos in the 'Picture Feedback' forum. If you are not happy with the feedback to a photo you really had expected to get some attention put a link to it in the 'Image Editing Discussion' forum and ask what others would do with it to improve the feedback. Perhaps you will see the photo from a different angle after that.

Another idea outside this forum might be to join a photo club or local photo amateurs group.

We heard you the first time...but other folk haven't 'given up' so why be so negative to a new member who has made the effort to become more active and who has received more positive advice from all the other responders !

Sometimes it's better to remember if you have nothing good to say...say nothing!

I'v just been through the Galleries and notice hardly any at all had comments on;;; lots of views and no comments,, some af the pics are brill,, yet no comments,, I used to go on every sunday morning ,go through the Galleries and comment on every on which caught my eye, and there was a lot,,, and maybe 2% of the members replied to my gallery.. I still think it ain't your images on here which get comments,, it's your name,, I may be speaking blunt here,, but I have been a member over a year and studied this site,, Its the member getting the comment...not the pic.IMO..Once you been on maybe 5 years then you'll get comments.....Till then put them on for your enjoyment and the few who like them,,,But keep it up,,If you enjoy you pic,,,,than thats all that matters,,,thats what I do..Theres a member called Leon who always comments on my pics ,,,and thats all I need...Leon you are my mentor !!
