After almost a week of perfect performance, the site went off line for a good half hour tonight (or maybe longer), everything seems about normal now, except that we seem to be in a little bit of a time warp with the word game, where the last posting was in March of this year, and the three words game, where the last posting being shown is in January of 2012! Everything after that seems to have disappeared into a black hole, anybody have an explanation?

Can't decide what this fellow is. He was flying around on his own whilst a buzzard and some crows were having a scrap.I've had to bring the brightness up to show some detail. Is it a young buzzard ??Thanks.Monty.

Yesterday evening,   three and a half years after a complaint I made which was never resolved, Sigma has sent me my first ever e-mail as a 'valued customer'.   :)This surprised me on more than a few levels.First my original registration with them was never accepted as they said I had bought a grey imported lens. That despite it was bought locally from a Sigma registered dealer according to their own site.

I have become increasingly annoyed, while watching TV coverage, at the moronic clapping that has become a distraction to the players, often just as they are ready to serve. It is NOT applause for a good shot, or a good return, but has needed the umpire to call for quiet, as the players were ready to continue with the game. I did notice Roger Federer, a few times ignored the chants calling -out etc. and got on with the game, while he probrably had the momentum of getting the next point. Must be quite a distraction for both players.Paul.B.

First time I've seen a redpoll at my bird table, its always a delight to see new species. Not a very good photo as quickly taken through glass but it'll do for me.

I find the theme more than ambiguous. Any photo is “past”, and each bears a memory to the photographer. Moreover, what particular aspect  is one suppose to share, a  memory of one’s  own or others. It can be very wide. The “clues”, usually examples, depicting the theme,  this time around , are of no help either, two cameras. I did casually ask some friends / visitors and none seem to come to grips with the exact demands of the theme. Just an opinion.

Its been awhile, months in fact since I either had the time or felt the inclination to do what I love with a camera but today was that kind of day. Though very rusty and delving into the old memory banks for things like settings and stuff I finally came up with something I liked and am pleased with, I hope it is the start of things to come.
