My X-S1 arrived a little while ago but ther is one little problem. It came with a charger that I cannot use here in the USA...lol.I will have to figure this out. I have a USA to UK converter but not the other way around. Also I was violently ill last night. I have no idea what hit me and it came out of nowhere. I am a little better today but still feeling pretty weak. I will post up some photos when I have my stength back.

On the 18th May, ESC = Eurovision Song Contest, I am not so sure that many will admit to watching, but if you do watch you will perhaps see some views of my neck of the woods, Malmö Sweden! Not putting any money on it but reckon that Belgium could be a winner!Mikehttp://www.myfinepix.co.uk/competition/entry/609036

I seem to remember that photobox has had good recommendations.  I have used snappy snaps before but that involves getting off my bottom, going into town then taking the print to the person it is being given to.Any recommendations?

So today was the 70th anniversary of the famous 617 "Dambusters" Sqn mission into Germany to destroy te Hydroelectric dams and put a dent in the German war effort. All media eyes and ears have been focussing on this historic event, and the majority of eyes were focussed on Derwent Water to catch the iconic LAncaster on a flyover of the dam.  I was unlucky enough to be stuck at work, but was rewarded this evening by a totally unexpected flypast of todays pilots and aircraft of 617, over a cloudy Pickering, in North Yorkshire!

Remarkably, I have had little delay in navigating around the site this evening.  Have so many given up because of the delays that few are now using the site or has something finally been done.  The worse case scenario is that I am just lucky!

I had just filled the car with petrol the other day and stopped to have a snack while I rested my missing arm and leg and as usual found my camera was being magnetically attracted to The Isle of Arran (why are most of my images of Arran ! ) which was looking quite pretty in the winter/spring/summer sunshine.I took a couple of photos thinking it was a pity I couldn't get the whole thing in shot and then remembered the camera has a stitch facility for making panoramas...so 14 stitch shots later I had the required spread and.......
