It's a really cute image and as Mr Salvador has hinted - there is a wealth of detail hidden in that darkness
Having been attracted by his transformation I hope you'll forgive me for also dali-ing with your image !
First effort a fairly light version showing most of the hidden detail
next a slightly darker version but most of the detail still visible
and Finally....if you're going to "post process" (muck about!) with images there's always an OTT limit which needs to be pushed now and again !
I enjoyed doing that...hope you enjoy the results !
