Canvas Prints - good deals?
Submitted by griffin on Fri, 31/08/2012 - 07:16
Hi All, toying with the idea of getting a couple of prints done on canvas - size 20" x30" and 30" x 40". Found an online company where I can get them done for £42 and £62 inc delivery, respectively. Any better deals out there?

i don't think it is any good to print photos on

I use Hello Canvas: http://www.hellocanvas.co.uk/
I have been really impressed by the print quality from them however, the sizes you've quoted are non-standard sizes for them, so are more expensive......but check out the prices for their standard sizes and I think you'll find them quite competitive.

Make sure you receive the canvas framed..........I was sent the canvas rolled, with the frame in bits ready to assemble.
Disaster waiting to happen, but the colour was awful anyway, I should have realised cheap is not an option!

I have always done my own Martin - a roll of canvas is very reasonble or you can buy it in sheets.

Hi,
I used these people for the only canvas prints I've had made -
http://www.canvas4life.co.uk/
At the time their prices looked good compared to others I looked at.
Can't comment on the colour as they were B&W - but came framed up and looked good.

I always use: bluepole.com for my canvases. Their customer service is great and they understand colours and stuff. Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the suggestions, its always good to have personal recommendations. A colleague of mine has just had some watercolour paintings reproduced on canvas by http://www.atrium-canvas.co.uk/ and they seem very good. Kev and Glynis recommend Hello canvas and they seem quite competitive, but I have just come across http://www.my-picture.co.uk/photo-on-canvas/ and these seem to be the most competitively priced and they can print on aluminium! I have a potential customer who want a large seaside print to fill a big gap in her bathroom and printing onto aluminium could solve the problem : http://www.my-picture.co.uk/photo-on-aluminium3
Angie, I cant print anything bigger than A4 and in Black ink on my printer - let alone a 30" wide canvas!
Mam ask Dad why he stopped sending my allowance since you moved, are you trying to tell me something

Well son, after that 'little incident' with Masie Jones's daughter, we thought it best if we distanced ourselves somewhat. Moving is just the first step.
Could you please return the family portrait of Grampa Jack and the stuffed Gorilla.

Hello! I've had quite a few 30"x20" canvasses (sea-scapes as it happens) done by Snapmad (7dayshop off-shoot). In fact I have one on it's way to me as we speak (post free). They are £33. Be careful to specify "fill-in" if you want the image to go around the sides, which I think looks better unless you plan to frame it. Aluminium sounds like an interesting option. Seen them, but never tried one.
Bloody hell - as I type this there are all sorts of flashes going on outside my little thatched cottage. There's a wedding photographer, vintage car, chauffeur and bride and groom posed outside my front door. Damned photographers get everywhere!
