Thank you for making the first comment on my new gallery pics Ali!!
I eventually worked out what you meant about getting to it!!
This pic was one I took last Autumn in RAW then used oil painting effect on. I've got it on my living-room wall. Have tried a few times but unfortunately can't get the colours as good from the printer as on screen.
I think I would have got truer colours if my Dell printer that packed up last autumn was still working as i'm not satisfied with the colours on the Epson I bought to replace it. Dave!!
Hi David, like this photo immensley and I like the oil painting effect, the autmnul colours are wonderful. Sorry to hear about missing the chance to photograpgh the Sir Nigel Gresley, we have been lucky the first year we saw it, it was still in pieces in Grosmont engine shed while undergoing a re-fit, the following year (2006) we visited the North Yorkshire Moors Railway on the day of it's first official run and that wasn't planned we just decided to go to Grosmont that day, they had I think it was The Royal Scots Guards there in full uniform bagpipes aswell and a helcopter flying above filming the journey from Grosmont to Pickering, think it cost about £50.00 per ticket that day so I stood back and took photo's and video footage. In 2007 we went back again and Sir Nigel Gresley was very nice and transported us from Grosmont to Pickering for a price of a family ticket £30.00 it was a lovely day out.
Thanks for sharing this David - I like it a lot. Not only an oil painting but perhaps a jigsaw too.Beautiful. Also thank so much for your kind comments on my blog.
