I saw a grass snake swimming once as I was crossing a stream - quite big, and quite an unexpected shock!   You conposed your excitement very well to get this composition just right.

Great shot.  Never seen a snake in the flesh myself, another to add to my list of wants.  So now that's kingfisher, otter, fox and snake....one day!!  lol

  No wonder you are thrilled Ray.  Not only was it a great spot, it's an extremely well taken shot.  Well done on the scroller.  When I first saw this one I thought  "Hello" one for the scroller me thinks.  Just wish I had commented when I first spotted it.  Still catching up after coming back off hols.
