FinePix Real 3D W3
MyFinePix now supports MPO 3D files
Submitted by Mr FinePix on Mon, 08/11/2010 - 12:54
Users of Fujifilm Real 3D cameras can now upload their MPO files direct to MyFinePix.
Uploaded MPO files will also display an additional "View 3D Image" button.

Clicking on this will bring up a side-by-side picture showing the left and right images. You can also scroll through and view the left image only, the right image only, and even an anaglyph.
We will look to add new features to the displaying of 3D prints in the near future!

I am using LG 3D laptop. When I view 3D web photos it show anaglyph mode. Do we have any option so that we can select other options like Line interlaced or even/odd rows, as my Laptop 3D display Line Interlaced.
Thank you.

This is a bit crazy. I've spent a lot of money buying a W3 3D camera and an Nvidia 3D setup and compatible monitor, but all MyFinePix Studio provides me to view my 3D movies and photos is a 1950s anaglyph!! What's more the movie player doesn't keep up with the frame speed.
This really isn't good enough, Fujifilm. To provide a system where full 3D can be viewed only in the camera is pathetic: I feel I've been conned. I have no wish to upload my files to your server: please provide your customers with some decent software!

My personal preference in viewing 3D stills and video is to first split the image into Left and Right, and then reverse them so that Right is on Left and Left is on Right. Then cut a single rectangle hole in a piece of paper or cardboard that is about the size of 35mm film chip (or for larger images about the size of a 35mm slide). Then position the paper between the image and face so that right eye sees only left image and left eye sees only right image. This forces cross eye viewing, but without the eye strain. The sheet of paper or cardboard blocks out all other visual data which is what really causes eye strain when forcing one's eyes to cross to see a cross eye view. I can not free view Parallel twin images, but I use a handy viewer that I bought to see twin parallel view images. I prefer this cross eye through the hole viewing method because there is no color distortion associated with anaglyph red/blue (red/cyan; red/green), and the image is very clear and sharp. It makes viewing all cross eye 3D content on You Tube very easy. And it saves a lot of money by not having to get into lenticular comuter monitors, etc.
Using stereo photo maker (free software) is the quick and easy way to split a lot of MPO files into separate left/right images, and have them automatically aligned, even color corrected a bit, cropped, sized, and re-assembled into a single JPG Left/Right or Right/Left image.
Last, I am getting great enjoyment from putting parallel left/right images on my iPhone and using the My 3D viewer from Hasbro ($24) . I use a 3D apps called 3D PictOMatic, i3DCamera, i3DSteroid. Being able to show your 3D photos on your iPhone (maybe android ...I don't know) to friends is a great party opener. Works great for fun, business. People usually say WOW.

Since MPO file sizes are in the mid to high 9MB size, my attempt to upload a MPO file failed since there is a fuji file size limit of 8MB. I don't understand this particular process.
