Firmware update for FinePix F550EXR

Applicable model: FinePix F550EXR / F505EXR
The firmware update Ver.1.10 incorporates the following issues:
1. The power consumption has been improved, just for rarely observed cases. (Only F550EXR)
2. LCD display is much smoothly transferred into "USB" mode, after connecting the camera to the PC via USB cable. (just for some shooting condition only)

Focusing with zoom in movies hunts for focus several times when camera shot moves slightly or zoom activated.
This F550EXR is a new camera for me (gripping this little marvel is difficult though), I also have a Finepix S5700 which I like but is huge in comparison.

The Firmware Updater doesnt't work with Windows 7 64 bit and reports an I\O error. It might also not work with a Windows 7 32 Bit, I havent tried this, but I have tried it with windows XP and that does work. Come on Fuji this is not rocket science.
If you are having a problem and you are using Win 7, find someone with XP and use that. You do NOT have to load all the Fuji Finepix stuff as the instructions say just put the two files on the desktop and it will work. I have just done it

I've just downloaded this, and am currently waiting for my battery to recharge because it died overnight AGAIN, even though all GPS stuff is disabled. I do hope this will fix it, because the temptation to send it back for a refund right now is very great.
Hppe it works OK for my Mac and F550.

Just copy the firmeware to a clean SD card and press the back button and startup....
So it will work without a pc/mac, just insert a clean SD card to your pc/mac and copy the file.
Works for me.
The new 1.10 version is a lot faster and gps fix works now better.

I really appreciate the work and effort done here but at the same time I also know that every one has its own way of taking things, some will like it or some don't but you got to give credit to the person who atleast give us something to talk about.
